Blood Donation Campaign (9 November 2008)

A blood donation campaign was held at the service center of YB Sim Tze Tzin on the 9 November 2008 in support of the Penang General Hospital Blood Bank.

More than 50 people turned up for the 4 hours event on that Sunday morning. The donors came from all walks of life, putting aside all the differences of race, religion, culture and languages to fulfill the act of a noble deed. Some took a day off from work even on a Sunday, while others simply sacrificed their weekend to participate. We even have an imam and a pastor as donors. That truly made Malaysia a multiracial country that we can all be proud of.

YB Sim plans to organize this blood donation campaign on a regular basis and hope that more people will sign up as a donor. Creating a healthy and caring community in Pantai Jerejak is as equally important as solving the infrastructure problems in this area.

Donating blood does not only saves other people's life but also benefits the donor with a better health.

Be a blood donor, it cost nothing but a little love.....
